Sophie Silver is a fourth year PhD candidate in Department of Earth & Environmental Science. She studies fracture mechanics and particle attrition on other planets. When not scouring the solar system for vexing rocks, she also serves as the VP of Finance, allocating grant funding and maintaining the financial well-being of SASGov. During her second term of service, she aims to work closely with the students of the School of Arts & Science to optimize the use of SASGov funding to best serve students. She co-chairs the finance committee with the VP of Financial Operations and works closely with the President, VP of Financial Operations, and the Finance Committee.
