SASgov Happy Hour @ Distrito February 12th

SASgov welcomes the new semester with a Happy Hour at Distrito. There will be a variety of drink options - Margaritas, Sangria and Beer. Appetizers are included as well!

Limited number of drink tickets will be available so please plan to arrive early.

FREE for all SAS students. $10 suggested donations for everyone else.

SASgov is having their next Happy Hour on Friday November 7th, 7pm-9pm at Ten Stone Restaurant.

Ten Stone is located at 21st and South street and specializes in craft beers. There will be drink tickets, and the drink specials include seasonal craft beers and mixed well drinks.

Leveraging Your PhD: Teaching Careers in Independent Schools

Have you considered teaching in secondary schools and want to learn more about this career path?  This event, co-sponsored by Career Services and SASGOV will focus on an insider’s perspective on careers in independent school teaching, as well as hiring opportunities for graduates of both doctoral programs in humanities, social sciences and STEM disciplines, and Master’s in Education programs.  The panel will include Penn alumni who will discuss their paths from Penn to teaching in k-12 settings.

Speakers include administrators and teachers from Philadelphia area independent schools, including:

  • Germantown Friends
  • Friends’ Central School
  • The Shipley School
  • Episcopal Academy
