INTERDISCIPLINARY GAP FUNDING

If your event will involve interest from any of the other 11 graduate schools at Penn(Education, Social Policy & Practice, Law, Wharton, Annenberg School of Communication, Engineering, Design, Medicine, Nursing, Dental, Vet), you are eligible for additional funding apart from the ones above. Contact Akshay Walia, the SASgov President at sasgov.pres@gmail.com for questions and more information about applying for this.

Apart from using the Departmental Merit fund to fund events in your department, there are other ways to fund events which are more interdisciplinary in nature. Please apply for all sources. The3 GAPSA sources can funding large amounts of money so distribute the amount being asked in those applications accordingly and as the SASgov Discretionary funding will be able to give a smaller amount, it can be used as an option to get the remainder of the money after you've applied for the first 3 sources. Further information about the GAPSA grants can also be obtained at http://www.gapsa.upenn.edu/groupevent-funding/
